Closing the Books on Another Great Year
Sunday, December 21st, 2014The holidays are finally here. Hopefully you and your family are enjoying the season and taking some time to sit back and relax. It’s a wonderful time of year to unwind and cozy up by the fire with a great book. With another busy year behind us, there is no better reward than a few weeks of carefree relaxation to give us some time to reflect. Once we turn the page on the New Year, we will be recharged and ready to move forward with a renewed enthusiasm.
What do you think of when you look back on 2014? What are your happiest memories and proudest accomplishments? Did you achieve a goal, or surprise yourself with your own strength when you overcame a personal challenge? What are you most thankful for, and what are you looking forward to in the New Year?
New Year’s resolutions have become synonymous with failure, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth trying. Setting goals at any time of year is important for your own personal growth. Don’t be too hard on yourself if things don’t quite turn out the way you want them to. Falling off the wagon is better than never establishing a resolution in the first place.
None of us know what the New Year will bring, but that’s just half the fun. Who knows what kind of surprises the next twelve months have in store for us? As you close the books on 2014, and ring in the New Year on December 31st, may you experience the joy of friends and family around you. I wish you nothing but the best in the New Year. I look forward to connecting with you all in 2015.
Happy holidays!
